Most people think cats can jump off tall and large things without getting hurt. Sometimes cats do get bad injuries and not all cats survive big leaps. But that only happens to our cats and less agile ones.
Most of the time, a cat will land on his feet when they fall. The cat's body reflexes turn his body fast enough so that by the time he/she lands on the ground, his feet are in a position to land first.
The height of a cats fall affects its feet when it lands because it needs to absorb the shock of the landing.
So the cat's body is made to land on its feet.
